Ayahuasca is the name of a sacred drink that has been prepared in the Amazon jungle since ancient times. Their common element is the presence of the Ayahuasca vine (Banisteriopsis Caapi), which has the "power" of medicine, and another plant, "Chakrun" (Psychotria viridis). Both plants are combined during a long process of harvesting, preparation and cooking. The Indians believe that Ayahuasca is a drug that helps a person to leave the shackles of his body in order to see other worlds and communicate with the gods. Literally from the Quechua language, the name Ayahuasca is translated as "creeper of spirits" (aya — spirit, soul, huasca — creeper). For the curandero shamans ("shaman healers") of South America, "Mama Ayahuasca" is a great medicine that they practice even in the treatment of children.
The chemical components of these plants are harmine in the case of liana and dimethyltryptamine (DMT) in the case of the chakrun shrub. DMT is a very special substance that the traditionally rationalistic scientific community has called a "spiritual molecule". It is presented in many creatures on this planet, both in plants and in animals, including the human nervous system. That is, this "spiritual molecule" is endogenous, it exists inside everyone. It's function is associated with the processes of dreaming, visions, mystical experiences, death, birth, it also has regenerative functions in the body. It is worth noting that synthesized DMT is considered a prohibited substance, while the Ayahuasca drink is allowed in a number of countries, is considered a heritage of humanity and is protected by international law.
Interaction with Ayahuasca is safe for a healthy person who has prepared himself with a special diet. It is very important to suspend taking antidepressants in advance for two weeks, as well as any medications or herbs that are monoamine oxidase inhibitors, lists of these products can be found on the Internet. People who are unable to withstand severe shock, due to serious cardiac risk, or other serious cardiovascular problems, are advised to refrain from using Ayahuasca. People suffering from schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or other serious mental illnesses are not recommended to use Ayahuasca. People with digestive system problems are advised to refrain from interacting with the drink.
How to prepare for the Ayahuasca ceremony? - It is important to abstain from alcohol, cocaine and any mind-altering substances for at least two weeks so that our systems are ready to receive the sacred medicine. To get a richer experience with Ayahuasca, you need to prepare yourself with a special diet at least 5 days before. We recommend a cleansing diet rich in fruits and vegetables and free of meat and dairy products, as well as refined foods (sugar, flour, rice) and strong seasonings... we recommend citrus fruits in the morning, legumes with a little seasoning and salads or brown rice, with vegetables at lunch and sweet fruits in the afternoon. On the day of the ceremony, the last meal at lunch will allow us to take Ayahuasca better. Avoid citrus fruits on the same day. As for sexual encounters, casual encounters should be avoided. It will be very useful for men to refrain from ejaculating at least 3 days before, and women will be able to work on themselves more purposefully if they do not place other energies in their womb at least 3 days before. Sexual practice related to the development of love and spirituality, free from ejaculation (for example, Taoism, Tantrism) with a beloved partner can be practiced. It is also good to practice spiritual disciplines in the previous days: yoga, prayer, sacred readings, devotion, service, etc. to adjust our consciousness to higher goals.
Our ritual consists of several parts. From the first moment of arrival and reception, where we will clear up doubts, get to know each other a little and arrange our road space. Then the shaman says the opening prayer and the first dose of medicine is consecrated after which we wait for the beginning of the action in the silence, meditation and prayer. After about half an hour, the first signs of the power of the plant begin to be felt in us, and then the songs begin which last from 4 to 6 hours. During this period a second dose of medication will be offered. If the call is not heard, you can request a little more when the person considers it appropriate. At the end of the songs we perform the ceremony of the Staff of the Word (Baston de la Palabra), where we share our experiences and what we need to express in sacred respect. After that the final prayers of the ceremony take place, and we share natural food and hugs with those who have accompanied us on this day.
It can be noted some common effects on the physical level after using Ayahuasca: dizziness and nausea, pressure in the stomach, which leads to vomiting, sometimes it can cause diarrhea, tremor of the body, a feeling of cold or heat, a feeling of physical interventions, including emotional manifestations: crying, laughing, the desire to dance, the desire to caress self, the desire to scream and other emotional manifestations. A good way to prevent physical cleansing from being too aggressive is to take care of the previous diet consciously . Among the mental effects of the consecration of this medicine can be called: a sense of confusion, fear, loss of control, sadness, peace, unity with nature, love, emotional liberation, forgiveness, reconciliation, lightness, relief. It is also common to have an internal conversation with the spirit of the plant, with one's conscience, with some spiritual being or with ancestors; a conversation that helps to put a person's thoughts and beliefs in order in a harmonious way, from a state of expanded consciousness. There are also very often visions, sometimes colorful patterns, especially at the beginning, which will be the first doors through which we will pass on our journey. Then, little by little, they begin to take forms that we can designate as our goal or some aspect of our life. The range of possible visions is endless, it will depend on many circumstances in order to survive them better, it is good to surrender to them with confidence and hope, while fear and resistance can significantly complicate the process. Women who are in the premenstrual phase or in the first days of the moon may have more intense experiences, take this into account when participating.
Emotionally, it is a journey that will embrace various emotional landscapes, sometimes forcing us to travel through our shadow worlds to purify and free ourselves, and sometimes through our higher worlds to connect with guiding energies, with life and love. We recommend that you focus on breathing during the experiment. Also, there is no need to violate the personal space of the other people present at the ceremony. The ceremony will be attended by an interpreter, as well as experienced assistants who have an extensive experience in accompanying such events. If you feel unwell that you can not cope with, there will be those who will be able to take care of you.

rio branco
To start our journey, it is necessary to arrive in Brazil, Rio Branco, no later than 12/23/2023. Our journey will start from the capital of the state of Acre - Rio Branco. Here our group will meet and spend a few days to get acquainted with several traditions. On the first day we will visit the Centro de Cura Tete Pawã, which combines the traditions of UMBANDA, XAMANISMO and HUNIKUIN at its ceremonies. A ceremony at this center on the day of arrival will open the doors to the Amazon Forest for us. The next day we will get acquainted with the city, and at night we will attend the mass of the religious community of Santo Daime. The participants of the mass drink ayahuasca and communicate with the spirits, often through the bodies of those who enter into a deep trance, the spirits talk. Be prepared for this.

The next day we will spend on the road from Rio Branco to the neighboring town in the depths of Acre Tarahuaca. This city is considered the capital of giant pineapples (abakashi). And also here is the most natural ice cream made from Acai berries. We'll have time to rest a little. To go to the HUNI KUIN Indigenous Festival the next day.
Pinuya

Travel precautions
Get ready to plunge into the simple rural life of the Brazilian hinterland. Along with the fact that you will face difficulties and exit from your comfort zone, you will also meet with another completely different from the life of people we are used to, and different from the world we are used to. On the road, we will need two expressions that the locals constantly repeat: Só alegria (only joy) and Segura firme (hold on tight). By itself, a trip without experience with Ayahuasca will be the beginning of something new in your life.
What to expect from this trip
In the Acre region there are deadly viruses that are carried by mosquitoes, so before you plan a trip, you need to get vaccinated against yellow fever and molaria. It is also necessary to have a vaccination against covid, since the Huni Kuin people tolerate this virus very poorly. The weather in the Acre region during the festival period can be from +15 to +40 degrees. Therefore, it is necessary to stock up on sunscreen. It is also necessary to stock up on an anti-mosquito agent and an anti-allergic agent. Mosquito bites should never be combed, otherwise microorganisms can get into the wounds. Redness from bites is an allergic reaction and an anti-allergic remedy relieves itching and redness well. If you decide to swim in local rivers, then you should not have open wounds, so as not to attract predatory fish and amphibians. It is also impossible to relieve yourself in water during bathing, since at this moment microorganisms are attached to the urethra. During the ceremonies in the village itself, you can not go into the forest.
