WACOMAYA RETREAT

WACOMAYA means “happiness” — a symbol of presence, inner clarity, and openness.

This three-day retreat with an Ayahuasca ceremony takes place in the mountains of Alfredo Wagner, surrounded by forest, quiet, and waterfalls. It combines traditional ceremonial wisdom with a thoughtful and contemporary approach to integration, held in a small and intimate group.

Designed for those who are curious, open, and ready to approach this experience with awareness and care.

INTENTION & INTEGRATION

The ceremony unfolds with live music guided by an experienced and attentive shaman, where voice, rhythm, and sound gently support the inward movement of awareness and a deeper connection with your lived experience.

attended an Ayahuasca retreat in Brazil
Lena
I would love to share my impressions after the Ayawaska retreat, because I feel that if I wait longer, I might miss something important.
I was truly happy to spend the weekend with you all, and now I’m slowly returning to my everyday life.
To be honest, I don’t open up to people very quickly. But with you, everything felt different.
This retreat became something very special for me.
I tried not to read too much beforehand or build expectations. I simply chose to trust and immerse myself in the different practices. I tried rapé for the first time, even though I had known about it for quite a while.
Ayahuasca had been on my mind for some time, but actually deciding to participate was not easy. I was curious about the practice itself, but it also mattered deeply to me who was organizing the retreat — and I’m grateful that we share similar values.
The location was on another level — very cozy houses, everything comfortable for living. We had a room with amenities, which was a big plus. The pool and jacuzzi, both outside and inside, were pure joy.
The food was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I loved cooking dinner together, and I was especially happy about the abundance of fruit.
The ceremony itself — I truly loved it. The musician, who was also the shaman, was incredible.
The sound meditation was beautiful — I really love this kind of experience, and it felt deeply relaxing. The instruments were simply magical.
The art session touched my heart as well. We travel with two backpacks, yet we took our paintings with us — we just couldn’t leave them behind. I can’t even imagine leaving something filled with so much warmth and love. There was such a feeling of unity in that house. Maybe those are the emotions I miss most while being far from home.
Thank you, Ayawaska Retreat, for this incredible experience. 🙏🏽
participated in five Ayahuasca ceremonies with Amau
Aleksandra
His ceremonies are both incredibly gentle and powerful. Before each ceremony, he conducts a personal interview with every participant to better understand our sensitivity and attune to our energy.
The music he plays throughout the ceremony guided me through every layer of thought. There were tears of joy, laughter, dancing, and so much love. Out of the seven ceremonies I have experienced, five were with this curandero — and each time I felt a renewed sense of strength in my mind, heart, and body. The process continues in the days that follow, as thoughts find completion and the energy remains.
As a musician, Amau is deeply skilled — he plays guitar beautifully, sings, and remains attentive to each participant’s state. During the ceremony, guardians are also present — caring assistants who ensure comfort and safety throughout the experience.

I have been practicing yoga for more than 10 years, and it’s not always easy for me to find a teacher who truly resonates. In Sofia’s classes, I experienced a deep sense of immersion and genuine fulfillment from the practice.
Sofia is a passionate and engaging teacher with a very kind presence and a calming voice. She inspires and motivates me to continue practicing.

Hello Ayawaska Retreat,
I wanted to share my gratitude and reflect on my experience.
First, I’d like to describe the space and the people I was with. Our group was made up of very different individuals, yet as we got to know each other and interacted, we found ourselves completely aligned. Having gone through a similar experience together, we truly bonded. We are still in touch with everyone from the group.
The retreat took place in a beautiful location, with a large shared space for practices and separate houses and bedrooms where we could retreat into privacy when needed.
The ceremony was led by Amau. Honestly, I was very anxious beforehand. In the past, I had difficult experiences with psychedelics, and I didn’t want to face that again. Amau invited me for a personal conversation before the ceremony, where I was able to ask my questions. He reassured me and helped me feel safe. By the time the ceremony began, I felt calm and even joyful.
There is no real point in describing the ceremony itself — everyone encounters exactly what they need. For me, it was self-love. I must have told myself “I love you” a million times. I suppose that’s what I came here for.
I want to highlight how thoughtfully the retreat was organized. Ayahuasca continues to work with you even after the ceremony ends. It was so comforting to wake up in a soft bed, have a nourishing breakfast, and talk with the group about what we had experienced together. In those conversations, I discovered new insights I hadn’t seen before. We cried together, laughed together, and bravely stepped into vulnerability.
I’m writing this review a month later, and I can say that something changes in you forever. Ayahuasca leaves a gentle mark on the soul and a quiet reminder:
“Anya, do you really want to get lost in this small worry? Sweetheart, look at how beautiful you are inside. You have yourself — and that is the greatest gift.”
Thank you for this profound experience.

The ceremony was led by Amau, and honestly, I was very nervous. I had previously had difficult experiences with psychedelics, and I really didn’t want to face that again. But Amau invited me to a personal conversation before the ceremony, answered all my questions, and helped me feel reassured. By the time the ceremony began, I felt positive and confident.
There’s no real point in describing the ceremony itself — everyone encounters what they truly need. For me, it was the realization of self-love. I kept telling myself, again and again, that I loved myself, and I understood that this was exactly why I had come.
I would also like to highlight how thoughtfully the retreat was organized. Ayahuasca continued to work with me even after the ceremony ended. It felt incredible to wake up in a soft bed, enjoy a nourishing breakfast, and share our experiences with the group. Through those conversations, I discovered new insights I hadn’t even considered before. We laughed together, cried together, and courageously opened up to one another.
It has now been a month, and I can truly say that ayahuasca changes something inside you in a lasting way. It leaves a gentle imprint on the soul and a quiet reminder:
“Anya, is it really worth worrying about small things? Look at your inner beauty — you have yourself, and that is the greatest gift.”

From the very first moments of her classes, you can feel her genuine care and attention to detail. She creates a space where everyone feels safe and at ease.
I would especially like to highlight her thoughtfully selected music, which beautifully complements the practice and helps you immerse more deeply in the experience.
Her classes are both fluid and powerful at the same time. They open new dimensions of the self and bring a sense of inner freedom. After each session, I feel both energized and deeply calm.

After a tour organized by another company fell through, I found Ayawaska Retreat while already in Florianópolis, specifically looking to participate in an Ayahuasca ceremony.
Denis responded immediately, checked whether I was suitable from a health perspective, found the next local ceremony with a shaman he trusts for such important moments in a person’s life, and personally accompanied me there, explaining all the details in advance.
He even thought through the smallest things — down to wool socks ))) (it gets very cold during the ceremony, so bring your warmest Siberian socks!).
Throughout the eight-hour ceremony, he checked in to make sure everything was okay — something you truly need to be physically and mentally prepared for, and he made sure to explain that beforehand.
Instead of feeling disappointed about the first company, I’m now simply grateful to Denis that the journey turned out so well. It feels like it was meant to happen exactly this way.

We invite you to experience something new — an experience that can broaden your perspective and open space for fresh creative energy in your life.
